We’re still in yellow because we’re following the guidelines by wearing masks, tracing contact and symptoms through SneezSafe and quarantining when exposed. Dr. Lucy D’Agostino McGowan, a Wake Forest professor and biostatistician, provides a more detailed breakdown of the dashboard, what it all means and how we can be even better.

Welcome to Phase 3
North Carolina is moving to Phase 3 tomorrow at 5 p.m. Overall, we’re sticking with what’s working for us — wearing masks, keeping our distance and sticking to groups of 10 indoors and 25 outdoors. One change is that student organizations and University-sponsored events with approved safety plans can operate under outdoor gathering guidelines (100 people or 30% of the capacity of an outdoor space — whichever is less).
